Ten Ways To Tell Your Child "I Love You"

1. Cook something together. 2. Take a long walk together, at your child's pace. 3. Send your child a card in the mail, with stickers or a treat inside. 4. Set aside a little time each day, maybe before bedtime, to talk about what's going on in your child's life, judgment free. If your child doesn't like to talk, say "Tell me three things that happened today." If it helps, tell three things that happened to you in return. 5. Take your child out to lunch every now and then, just the two of you. 6. Do a jigsaw puzzle together. 7. Talk in the car on the way to school instead of listening to the radio. 8. Find a board game you both enjoy and schedule regular tournaments. 9. Send an encouraging note with your child's lunch. 10. Use magnetic letters to put loving messages on the fridge.

Family Home Evening Activities

1.Visit the zoo. 2.Find out about your area's community center and/or park activities. 3.Wash the dog. (A neighbor's dog if you don't have one!) 4.Have a family slumber party. 5.Build a fort. 6.Get out the the family photo album. 7.Research your family history. 8.Visit the Genealogical library. 9.Play stickball. 10.Play hopscotch. 11.Play games. 12.Clean the house together (Have a pick-up party.) 13.Make up a play. Take it to a nursing home. 14.Fly kites. 15.Go on a family trip/historical excursion. 16.Shoot hoops together. Play H.O.R.S.E. 17.Make a collage out of pictures from old magazines. 18.Set up a lemonade stand on a warm day.

Homemade Laundry Soap Detergent Recipe

1 quart Water (boiling) 2 cups Bar soap (grated) 2 cups Borax 2 cups Washing Soda Add finely grated bar soap to the boiling water and stir until soap is melted. You can keep on low heat until soap is melted. Pour the soap water into a large, clean pail and add the Borax and Washing Soda. Stir well until all is dissolved. Add 2 gallons of water, stir until well mixed. Cover pail and use 1/4 cup for each load of laundry. Stir the soap each time you use it (will gel). Today's Recipe

Lasagna Rolls Recipe Folks can't believe these flavor-filled rolls have just five ingredients. Using prepared spaghetti sauce saves me lots of cooking time. My family never complains when these appear on the table. Prep: 25 min. Bake: 10 min. Ingredients 6 lasagna noodles 1 pound ground beef 1 jar (15-1/2 ounces) spaghetti sauce 1 teaspoon fennel seed, optional 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided Directions Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and fennel seed if desired; heat through. Drain noodles. Spread 1/4 cup meat sauce over each noodle; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons cheese. Carefully roll up noodles and place seam side down in an 8-in. square baking dish. Top with remaining sauce and cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 10-15 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Yield: 6 servings.
